# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • Everything dumps into the slow cooker and walks away for six hours of magic
  • The flavors deepen and meld into something that tastes like it simmered all day
  • Leftovers somehow taste even better, making it the gift that keeps on giving
02 -
  • Draining the beef after browning prevents the soup from becoming too oily as it slow cooks
  • The soup will thicken as it sits, so add a splash more broth when reheating leftovers
03 -
  • Mash a small portion of the beans against the side of the slow cooker for a thicker, richer broth
  • Set out toppings in small bowls and let everyone build their own perfect bowl
